Beyoncé Delivers Show-Stopping Halftime Performance for Netflix's NFL Christmas Gameday

Beyoncé brought the house down with a spectacular halftime performance during Netflix's inaugural NFL Christmas Gameday. The Houston Texans hosted the Baltimore Ravens at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, marking a historic moment streamed live on Netflix.

This special event was produced by Beyoncé’s own Parkwood Entertainment in collaboration with Jesse Collins Entertainment. Taking place in her hometown, the performance was a celebration of music, fashion, and cultural history.

Beyoncé’s set featured the first-ever live renditions of tracks from her groundbreaking and record-breaking album, COWBOY CARTER. The album, which has garnered 11 Grammy nominations, now holds the record for the most nominations ever received by a female artist for a single project.

The 12-minute extravaganza included fan-favorite songs such as “16 CARRIAGES,” “BLACKBIIRD,” “AMERIICAN REQUIEM,” “YA YA,” “SPAGHETTII/RIIVERDANCE,” “LEVII’S JEANS,” “JOLENE,” and the chart-topping anthem, “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM,” which concluded with Beyoncé being dramatically lifted to the rafters.

Joining her onstage were a roster of incredible guest performers, including Post Malone, Shaboozey, Reyna Roberts, Tanner Adell, Brittney Spencer, and Tiera Kennedy. Blue Ivy Carter, Beyoncé's eldest daughter, also made an appearance as a featured dancer, showcasing her talent alongside the Texans Cheerleaders.

In a heartfelt nod to Western and Rodeo culture, Beyoncé welcomed special guests like Mexican cowgirl Melanie Rivera, rodeo legend Myrtis Dightman Jr., Miss Rodeo Texas Princess 2004 and Miss Rodeo Texas 2015 Nikki Woodward, and Ja’Dayia Kursh, Arkansas’ first Black Rodeo Queen. Houston Texans owner Cal McNair and his wife, Hannah, also joined the celebration, adding to the hometown pride.

The performance reached new heights with nearly 200 members of Texas Southern University’s Ocean of Soul Marching Band. The world-renowned HBCU band delivered their signature blend of powerful sound, precision, and electrifying choreography, amplifying the energy in the stadium.

Beyoncé’s legacy of electrifying NFL halftime performances is well-established. She headlined Super Bowl XLVII in 2013 in New Orleans, delivering a memorable performance with Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. That performance became the second most-watched halftime show in history at the time. In 2016, she returned for Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara, California, joining Coldplay and Bruno Mars in a show that captivated 115.5 million viewers.

This latest performance at Netflix’s NFL Christmas Gameday solidifies Beyoncé's unmatched ability to combine music, culture, and spectacle, leaving audiences in awe and raising the bar for halftime entertainment.
