Spate Magazine Interview With Alexa Galante, also known as (@xo.bunny) On Instagram

I got a chance to Speak with Alexa Galante about fashion and more. If your not familiar with the name Alexa Galante you will definitely know her instagram handle @xo.bunny. With over 1 million followers Alexa is a very popular influencer, and she is also married to one of the founders of the Rolling Loud Festival. Checkout our interview below.

Hi Alexa! We know that you are standing by instagram removing the like count. Tell us why this is important to you.

Removing instagram likes allows people to focus on content not likes. It’s great for girls like myself because we can actually post things that are not so revealing and not feel like no one likes the post. I also think it reduces cyber bullying and is overall healthier for people’s mental health/confidence.

Do you think young people put too much importance on getting likes on instagram?

Yes to some people likes are everything. Let’s say you post something and get 7 likes or even 1 like that does something to you mentally. It makes you feel like you don’t have any friends or no one cares about you.

There are so many young people that wish to have a following like you. Can you give them advice on growing their social media on instagram.

Yes it’s all about content. Once you have a photo or video that catches you need to keep posting new content that engages your followers with your page and makes those who don’t follow you want to follow you. I also like to ask a lot of questions in my IG story.

What is it like marketing a festival as large as Rolling Loud? What is your day to day like?

Rolling Loud has a very large marketing team but I will say that it’s not the easiest task. There’s a lot of money being spent in the digital space and programming add placements, perfecting the artwork to make sure the engagement hits, and deciding the right times is not always the easiest. My dad is never the same really since the brand is growing so fast we’re always planning out the next material to promote and trying to increase sales across the board. I work closely with the influencer program as well to make sure that we always have the who’s who at the event. It’s very exciting and keeps me busy for sure.

We work with a lot of up and coming talent. Can an up and coming artist land a spot on Rolling Loud or is it mainly for major artists?

Up and coming acts can get on the bill as you see Rolling Loud books around 100-120 acts per show in the U.S. If an act wants to get on the event they really need to be hot. There’s no right way to get there but if there catching traction on a song and poppin on social media Rolling Loud would probably reach out. It is important to have a good agent or have some kind of label support.

Do you think its important for a influencer to have a team, like a photographer, video person, makeup etc... or can you do it alone?

I have a few photographers and videographers I work with. I love getting my hair done, nails done, and sometimes I will hire a makeup artist. It really just depends on what content I’m shooting and how much content that day. I don’t like wasting money and those things can be expensive.

Who are some of your favorite fashion designers?

I love D&G, Prada, Channel, Gucci, LV, and more. I’m a sucker for designer.

Are you interested in having your own clothing brand or anything like that?

Yes I’m actually working on my bikini line at the moment and I’ve been working on my clothing like for awhile. Everything I’m doing is custom so it take awhile to get it right. I’m planning to release my line by February of 2020. Stay tuned!

Meeting so many successful artists at the Rolling Loud festival, have you ever met anyone that made you nervous or starstruck?

Honestly no. A lot of the time I don’t know who they are unless Matt tells me. I don’t particularly get starstruck in general though. I’m more of a fan of makeup artists, models, or actresses. I may be nervous around the Kardashian’s or something.

Do you have anything coming up that you would like to talk about? Are you on other platforms besides instagram?

I love the questions you asked and I currently don’t use any other platforms. I will end it with this statement. Instagram was meant to be a digital photo album to share your life with your friends or the world. Don’t let it take over your life. This is suppose to be fun!
