Bernard, a 21-year-old defensive tackle from Nigeria, enters the league through the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program, a system designed to identify and develop global talent. Unlike most draft prospects, Bernard has never played a single down of organized football at any level, making his selection one of the most unique stories in recent NFL history.
Standing around 6-foot-4 and weighing over 300 pounds, Bernard caught scouts’ attention with elite athleticism rather than game experience.
