A massive yacht allegedly rented by renowned hip-hop producer Metro Boomin caught fire early Sunday morning while docked outside one of Miami’s most popular strip clubs, according to multiple reports.

The dramatic incident occurred around 3 a.m. when the 95-foot vessel arrived at Booby Trap On The River. About 30 minutes later, alarms began blaring as flames erupted onboard, Local10 reported.

Quick Action Saves Lives

Michael Marhefka, the director of security at Booby Trap On The River, explained that workers immediately sprang into action to evacuate the approximately 10 people onboard, including Metro Boomin and five crew members.

“The boat pulled up, and they were on it for maybe 30 minutes at the dock when we noticed what sounded like fire alarms going off,” Marhefka told the outlet. Fortunately, all passengers and crew were safely removed before the fire escalated.

A Massive Emergency Response

The fire quickly engulfed the yacht, prompting a major response from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. Over 30 units, including rescue boats and land crews, arrived at the scene around 4 a.m. to battle the flames.

Officials described the blaze as particularly challenging due to the yacht’s large size and significant fuel load. The flames grew so intense that a large crowd of onlookers gathered, stunned by the spectacle.

Witnesses described the scene as both awe-inspiring and terrifying. One bystander told NBC 6, “I’ve never seen anything like this,” while another admitted the fire left her “scared” because of its massive scale.

The Aftermath

Despite the extensive firefighting efforts, the yacht ultimately sank into the Miami River. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. After extinguishing the fire, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue deployed specialized oil spill response equipment to minimize fuel runoff and environmental damage.

“This strong mesh-like sleeve encases a highly absorbent material that soaks up oil and surface sheen,” explained MDFR spokesperson Nicholas DiGiacomo, as reported by the Miami Herald.

Investigation Underway

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. While the exact details remain unclear, the incident has drawn widespread attention, both for its dramatic visuals and its association with one of hip-hop’s most celebrated producers.

Stay tuned for updates as more information emerges about this fiery spectacle on the Miami River.
