Diddy Branded a "Monster" in Upcoming Documentary The Making of a Bad Boy
The highly anticipated documentary, The Making of a Bad Boy, is set to debut on Peacock on January 14, offering an in-depth exploration of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ rise to stardom and the controversial allegations surrounding his career. The film delves into the music mogul’s life, highlighting both his successes and the shocking accusations of sexual assault and misconduct that have recently come to light.
The documentary features interviews with individuals who have been close to Diddy throughout his career, including former Bad Boy producer Ron “Amen-Ra” Lawrence, journalist Kim Osorio, ex-bodyguard Gene Deal, and singer Al B. Sure. Al B. Sure, who shares a son with Diddy’s late ex Kim Porter, has previously suggested that Diddy played a role in an incident that left him in a coma.
In the trailer, one interviewee refers to Diddy as a “monster,” while unseen footage of the music mogul partying is also showcased. An anonymous voice further claims to have captured moments during Diddy’s private life, alleging inappropriate and possibly illegal behavior. “Any time a studio or room is red, he’s making love and sex. Some of the ones who went in the room, for sure they were underage,” the voice claims.
The official synopsis of the documentary states:
“Featuring never-before-seen footage and stories from those who know him best, Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy sheds light on his childhood, rise to fame, and recent criminal allegations, challenging viewers to rethink everything they thought they knew about the mogul behind the music—and the mugshot.”
This is not the only documentary in the works focusing on the allegations against Diddy.
Rapper and producer 50 Cent is developing his own series with Netflix, centering on the founder of Bad Boy Records. However, the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ star has acknowledged the challenges of tackling such a sprawling story.
During a recent appearance on GMA3: What You Need to Know, 50 Cent described the project as a “difficult” undertaking. “Every day, there’s new accusations coming out, new things that happened. It’s become an octopus, with so many powers and so many things going on there,” he said.
Additionally, a third documentary from Investigation Discovery, known for its exposé series Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, is in production and will premiere on Max later this year.
Together, these projects promise to shed light on the troubling allegations and controversies surrounding one of the most influential figures in hip hop, offering viewers a comprehensive look at Diddy’s complex legacy.
