Westside Gunn Teases First Sneaker Collaboration with Saucony

Westside Gunn has offered fans an exciting glimpse into his early steps toward entering the sneaker industry. In an Instagram post on Wednesday (October 9), the Griselda rapper revealed that he's collaborating with Saucony to create his own sneaker. While keeping the design and release details under wraps, Gunn made up for it by sharing a series of images and videos showcasing his hands-on approach to the sneaker’s development.

"FIRST DAY IN THE OFFICE @saucony," Gunn captioned part of the post, expressing his excitement. "I’m proud to announce I’m OFFICIALLY dropping my first sneaker!!!! This is a dream come true and I just want to thank y’all for believing in my ART," he added, giving special thanks to designer Jae Tips for opening the door and inspiring him to push the culture forward.

Gunn also expressed gratitude toward the Saucony team for believing in his vision, promising not to disappoint. "BIG THINGS ARE HAPPENING and I just want y’all to know GOD IS THE GREATEST. Your support is what keeps me going. I’ll put my 800k followers against somebody’s 10M any day," he wrote. "Love y’all, now let’s make some of the flyest kicks ever – #SUPERFLYGOD."

Before this partnership, Westside Gunn had praised Saucony for their innovative releases and credited Jae Tips' “To-Do List” collection as a major inspiration. Much like Tips infused his Bronx roots into his designs, Gunn appears to be integrating Griselda’s DNA into his own project. Alongside clips of him reviewing fabric samples, the rapper shared images featuring the Saucony logo paired with the iconic Griselda insignia.
