Big Sean has officially signed with S10 Entertainment, parting ways with his long-time management at Roc Nation. As reported by Billboard on July 29, the Detroit rapper is preparing to release his highly anticipated album, Better Me Than You, with the support of S10's Brandon Silverstein. Sean expressed his excitement about the new collaboration, saying, "Brandon shares the vision, understands where I’m headed, and I’m incredibly excited to work with him and the S10 team."

Silverstein also shared his enthusiasm, praising Sean's talent and potential: "Big Sean is an incredible talent who, even after topping charts, breaking records, winning awards, and headlining across the world, is just getting started. I can’t wait for fans to hear the new music." This move is not as surprising as it may seem, as S10, founded in 2017, is a joint venture with Roc Nation, bolstered by investment from Avex USA.

S10 Entertainment's impressive roster includes Myke Towers and actress, model, and singer Madison Bailey. The company has been promoting their relationship with Big Sean since early July, even referring to him as "S10’s Big Sean" in a July 4 Instagram post. Sean’s upcoming album, Better Me Than You, is set for release on August 9. Leading up to the release, Sean has been providing insights into the album’s creative process, particularly the intriguing graphs featured in the project's trailer.

The trailer, released on July 18, just a day after a version of the album leaked online, features a psychedelic clip soundtracked by an unreleased song with a funky bass line, spacey synths, and pounding percussion. The trailer concludes with four pie-shaped graphs, which Sean recently explained in a new clip posted last week.

"When I was making this album, I was going through what felt like the same four emotions, really," Sean explained. "I sat down and drew this chart one day that represented how I was feeling. I hand-drew it and thought, 'Man, I’ve never seen this chart before.' I ended up getting it animated. It’s four different charts that represent four different feelings, four different moods of the album, four different emotions that I was going through personally." He continued: "First of all, I was under a lot of pressure. But going through that pressure led to clarity, which led to me being able to focus on happiness and live in that happiness briefly before going right back to the pressure. Drawing these graphs out really brought the album to life for me."

Big Sean's new partnership with S10 Entertainment marks a thrilling new chapter in his career, promising innovative music and a refreshed creative direction.
