Howard filed a lawsuit against CAA (Creative Arts Agency) a few weeks ago, claiming that the agency put the interests of the Fox network, the show's creators, and themselves ahead of his own.
The actor and his lawyer attributed the problem to a process called "packaging," in which a talent agency is compensated by the studio for bringing a star to a project.
At a press conference, Howard’s lawyer James Bryant said: “Over the last several years, agencies have become much more powerful and found a much more lucrative way of making money. It’s by being the packaging agent, where you represent actors, producers, production companies and your own financial interest.”
He continued: “That’s where that fiduciary duty begins to break down. That’s why we’re here today.”

At the height of Empire, Terrence Howard claimed to get paid $325,000 every episode. However, he explained that his pay was lower than that of other starring males, including Jon Hamm and Kevin Spacey, who received roughly $500,000 per episode for their respective shows, Mad males and House of Cards, citing “racism” as the cause.
Furthermore, 50 Cent has not made advances on any other Empire star in recent weeks but Howard.
50 stated on Instagram that he wanted to collaborate with the Oscar nominee after Taraji P. Henson revealed that she had fired her entire staff for not being able to take use of the show's popularity.
