Tory Lanez reportedly rejected a plea agreement and would have received a four-year sentence.

Tory Lanez received a 10-year jail term last month. In the case, Megan Thee Stallion was shot in the foot in the year 2020. From behind bars, the rapper had been awaiting his punishment for around seven months. He appeared in court earlier this week to ask for bail as he is currently pursuing an appeal against his conviction.

The sentence was able to generate a lot of internet discussion. Numerous users are still debating whether or not 10 years is a fair sentence for Lanez. According to recent reports, Lanez may have had the chance to have his 10-year sentence reduced by more than half. VladTV claims that the district attorney offered the artist a plea bargain, under which he would have served only four years in prison. Lanez reportedly declined the plea agreement and decided to go to trial instead. Unfortunately, he did not serve any shorter time as a result of the trial than under the terms of the plea agreement.
