The Creighton Bluejays bolstered their frontcourt Thursday ahead of the 2018-19 season with the commitment of 4-star center Ian Steere.
Steere announced his decision on Twitter:
The High Point, North Carolina, native is the No. 9 center and No. 76 player overall, per Scout.
Scout's Evan Daniels thought Steere's commitment was a coup for the Jays:
At 6'9" and 240 pounds, Steere's frame likely ensures he'll spend the bulk of his time at the 4 when he joins Creighton. In addition to the potential mismatch he'd have against taller, more physical centers, the position would also limit what Steere can do on the court.
