Wu-Tang Clan legend and accomplished actor Method Man, born Clifford Smith, is set to guest star in the upcoming CBS legal drama Cupertino. He will portray a rapper named Yungwood, who takes legal action against an artificial intelligence music studio that is negatively affecting his streaming revenue.
The storyline arrives as musicians, producers, songwriters and record companies continue to wrestle with how generative AI could reshape music creation, ownership and compensation.

Method Man has also built an extensive acting career. Most recently, he played attorney David MacLean throughout all four seasons of Power Book II: Ghost, a performance that earned him four consecutive NAACP Image Awards.

Cupertino is a new David-versus-Goliath legal drama centered on Silicon Valley.
The series follows attorney Michael Price, played by Mike Colter, after he is cheated out of stock options by his former tech startup employer. He eventually joins forces with another fired attorney, Olivia Siffre, played by Rachel Keller, to represent people who believe they've been exploited by powerful technology companies.
The series was created by Robert and Michelle King, whose previous television work includes The Good Wife, The Good Fight, Evil and Elsbeth. Its cast also includes Ella Stiller, Nik Dodani, Busy Philipps and Renée Elise Goldsberry.
Cupertino is scheduled to premiere Thursday, October 8, 2026, on CBS, with streaming availability through Paramount+.
