Dallas rapper BigXthaPlug found himself dealing with another legal situation after being arrested in Texas on multiple charges just as he was scheduled for a major festival appearance.
BigXthaPlug, whose real name is Xavier Landum, was arrested by the Allen Police Department on Friday, August 21, 2026, and booked into the Collin County Jail. Police and court records list charges of driving while intoxicated, possession of less than two ounces of marijuana and unlawful possession of a firearm.

The rapper was scheduled to perform at the Country Rising Festival in Winnipeg, Canada, on August 21. Festival organizers announced that he would no longer appear because of what they described as a "personal emergency."

During the performance, BigXthaPlug acknowledged the situation, telling the crowd, "They didn't think I was coming."
The appearance meant the rapper went from being arrested and booked into jail to performing in front of a major audience in less than a day.

During the 2025 incident, Dallas police said officers stopped a pickup truck and discovered marijuana and a firearm. Landum subsequently faced marijuana possession and unlawful firearm possession charges. That case remained ongoing when CBS Texas reported on his latest arrest.
NBC Dallas-Fort Worth also reports that Landum was arrested in February 2025 on a marijuana possession charge.
