After a long-awaited return to public life on November 9, Max B wasted no time getting back into the groove of music. Once a prominent force in mid-2000s New York hip-hop with numerous standout records, his career was abruptly interrupted in 2009 when legal troubles culminated in a 16-year prison sentence for robbery.
Since reentering society, Max B has been making his presence felt. On the same day of his release, he attended a game where the New York Jets defeated the Cleveland Browns—making a notable appearance in the public eye.
At his “Welcome Home” show, which reportedly took place at Salsa Con Fuego and played to a sold-out crowd, Max B didn’t hold back. He performed several of his signature tracks—such as “I Gotta Habit” and “Sexy Love”—that originally helped define his wave.
More than just a nostalgic set, the show appears to serve as a springboard for what’s next. Social media posts from Max B showcase behind-the-scenes studio footage alongside longtime collaborator French Montana and producer Harry Fraud—together hinting at new material. In one brief caption, he teased: “Max B × French Montana × Harry Fraud. Three legends… One room… One Wave. The Wave is about to shift the whole game. History in the studio… Stay tuned.”
In another post, Max B dropped a further tease: “WORKING ON THE GDAY. COKE WAVE 3 LOADING.” This suggests that he may be gearing up to revive the “Coke Wave” mixtape series (originally co-hosted by French Montana) with a third installment.
