Swizz Beatz and Timbaland’s Verzuz is officially back, and it's set to return October 25 at ComplexCon in Las Vegas with a showdown of Southern rap royalty: Cash Money vs. No Limit. HipHopDX
The announcement dropped via social media:
“IT’S OFFICIAL. Verzuz is BACK — live at #ComplexCon Las Vegas. Cash Money VERZUZ No Limit Celebration … One stage. Two legendary iconic Labels. History is about to be made!! October 25. Live Streaming details coming soon !!!!!! Stay tuned for more info.”
It’s not yet confirmed which specific artists from each label will perform. But the legacy lineups are heavy:
-
Cash Money, built by Birdman & Slim, gave us stars like Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Juvenile, B.G., Mannie Fresh, and more.
-
No Limit, founded by Master P, was home to Mystikal, Silkk the Shocker, Mia X, C-Murder, TRU, and Soulja Slim, among others.
-
Snoop Dogg also had a stint on No Limit in the late ’90s, releasing hits like “Down For My N’s,” “Bitch Please,” and “Lay Low.”
This upcoming battle will mark Verzuz’s first battle in over three years — the last one took place in June 2022 between Omarion and Mario.
Previously, Verzuz’s relaunch faced delays due to legal disputes between Swizz Beatz, Timbaland, and Triller over the 2021 sale of the brand. They sued Triller in August 2022 for $28 million, claiming breach of payment terms, and later settled with adjusted ownership stakes.
