Following the dismissal of Drake’s defamation lawsuit against Universal Music Group, Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us” is seeing renewed momentum on streaming platforms and charts.
Initially released in May 2024 as part of Lamar’s volley in his public feud with Drake, “Not Like Us” quickly became a viral hit—topping charts globally and breaking streaming records. In recent days, the legal ruling has reignited interest in the song. According to reports, “Not Like Us” re-entered the iTunes and Apple Music Top 100 in multiple countries after the lawsuit was thrown out. On the same day of the decision, the track also drew approximately 1.2 million streams on Spotify.
In short, the controversy meant to challenge the song’s legitimacy seems to have backfired—fanning its fire instead of dousing it.
