Eric Bellinger, the Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and producer, is back with his fresh album It All Makes Sense. The record continues the Afrobeats-influenced R&B direction he first explored on his 2024 project It’ll All Make Sense Later. Crafted in Cape Town alongside African artists, producers, and songwriters, this album reflects a bold and personal growth in his musical journey.
Bellinger describes It All Makes Sense as one of the most enjoyable albums he’s created. For the first portion of the project, he adopted a more collaborative stance—letting African creatives lead the vision. On this follow-up, he fuses those influences with his own style, aiming for a sound that feels modern, grounded, and street-forward. He views the two albums as a paired undertaking, a creative exploration he calls a “faith walk” toward a more global and genuine expression.
The lead single on the album is a remix of “Understood,” featuring the Afrobeats icon Tiwa Savage. The collaboration delves into themes of love, communication, and emotional vulnerability, wrapped in smooth vocal performances and captivating melodic production. Bellinger shared that he’s admired Tiwa for years, and through mutual connections—especially via his longtime producer Harmony Samuels—this collaboration finally materialized after a decade of hope.
Another standout track is “Vogue,” which features Brndn. That song emerged from Bellinger’s #OpenVerseChallenge, a social-media initiative where fans recorded their own verses. Listeners voted on their favorites, and the winning verse earned a spot on the album. A deluxe remix of “Vogue” will also feature rapper Wale.
Beyond the music itself, Bellinger recently launched his independent label, All Wins Entertainment. He says the label’s founding was long overdue—driven by years of dedication and vision. He intends for the label to help revive the art of artist development, and to reclaim the foundations that once defined the music industry.
About Eric Bellinger
Eric Bellinger has long been a respected force in contemporary R&B, with a career that bridges soulful tradition and inventive experimentation. He has amassed over 1.5 billion streams globally, and boasts hits such as “Valet” (with Fetty Wap & 2 Chainz), “G.O.A.T” (featuring Wale), “Type a Way” (with Chris Brown), “Drive By,” and “Focused on You” (with 2 Chainz), among others. His early breakthrough included the platinum hit “I Don’t Want Her” (with Problem).
Hailing from Compton, California, Bellinger was exposed to music from a young age. He is the grandson of Bobby Day (famous for the Jackson 5 track “Rockin’ Robin”), and he developed his musical instincts through local choir and group experiences. He began his professional journey as a songwriter, contributing to hits for artists like Usher, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, and Trey Songz. His work on Chris Brown’s F.A.M.E. earned him a Grammy in 2012, solidifying his reputation as a songwriter with an intuitive gift for hooks.
As a solo artist, Bellinger has released numerous projects, including The Rebirth (2014), Cuffing Season (2015), Eazy Call (2018), the Eric B for President series, and 1-800-HIT-EAZY with Hitmaka (2021). In 2022, he earned his first Grammy nomination as a recording artist for New Light (2021) in the Progressive R&B Album category.
His latest creative arc began in 2024 with It’ll All Make Sense Later, recorded during a month-long retreat in Cape Town. There, he immersed himself in Afrobeats and Amapiano, working hand-in-hand with African talent. The follow-up, It All Makes Sense (2025), expands upon that concept—asserting Bellinger’s belief that R&B is a sound without borders, grounded in authenticity and progressive vision.
Offstage, Bellinger is an advocate for mental health, Black artistic empowerment, and community development. Earlier this year, he received the Global Icon Award from his hometown at Compton Fest. He has also appeared on festival stages such as One Musicfest and R&B Only Fest, and recently wrapped his global “Around The World Tour” in support of his evolving body of work. Through All Wins, he continues to prioritize building infrastructure for artists to thrive, celebrating every step of their journey.
With a legacy of both writing and performing, and a discography that remains dynamic and ambitious, Eric Bellinger continues to solidify his position as one of modern R&B’s most inventive voices.
