Kevin “Young Thug” Williams is gearing up for his first live performance since being released from jail after accepting a plea deal tied to his RICO case. The Atlanta rapper is set to headline Sunday (June 22) at this year’s Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash in Bridgeview, Illinois. He’ll close the event in the headline slot, marking his official return to the stage
Summer Smash has special significance for Thug: he was originally scheduled to perform at the festival back in 2022 before his arrest, which adds a "full‑circle" dimension to his return, noted Elliot Montanez, operations director for Lyrical Lemonade
Thugger teased the upcoming concert through a social media video package, captioned “THUGGER RETURNS,” generating excitement ahead of Sunday’s show hiphopdx.com.
Before this, Thug had also been confirmed as a headliner for Les Ardentes festival in Belgium on July 5 — his first European performance since his release
In the past month, Young Thug has been actively teasing his forthcoming album, UY Scuti. He dropped the lead single “Money on Money” featuring Future, and shared behind-the-scenes clips during his Kick livestream with Adin Ross, even joking about shifting from music to full‑time streaming
