Ongoing Support and Future Plans
Beyond Phase 8, Blizzard has expressed its commitment to keeping the SoD realms active. While active development will eventually wind down, there are currently no plans to shut down these servers. This approach mirrors the treatment of Classic Era realms, allowing players to continue their adventures in Azeroth without interruption. us.forums.blizzard.com+5blizzardwatch.com+5warcrafttavern.com+5reddit.com+1warcrafttavern.com+1
This extended support ensures that both current and returning players can explore the evolving landscape of WoW Classic's Season of Discovery, with Phase 8 marking another exciting chapter in this ongoing saga.
