Central Cee Returns with ‘CAN’T RUSH GREATNESS’ & Announces Global Tour
Central Cee is officially back and making waves with the release of his highly anticipated debut album, CAN’T RUSH GREATNESS. The project, which dropped last Friday, boasts 17 tracks and runs just under 49 minutes. Featuring an all-star lineup—including Skepta, Lil Durk, Dave, Lil Baby, and 21 Savage—the album is already receiving widespread acclaim from both critics and fans.
Tracks like “CRG,” “BAND4BAND,” and “GBP” are leading the charge, fueling the album’s early success. But Central Cee isn’t just making noise with the music—he’s keeping fans fed with fresh content. To kick off the week, he released the official music video for his Lil Durk collaboration, and it's already racking up massive numbers. The video has pulled in 1.3 million views and is currently sitting at #11 on YouTube’s Trending for Music.
A Global Takeover: The ‘CAN’T RUSH GREATNESS’ Arena Tour
In addition to the album’s success, Central Cee has announced a massive worldwide tour to support the project. The tour kicks off in Europe and the UK on April 1, before making its way to North America—hitting the U.S. and Canada on May 2. Finally, Australia and New Zealand will close out the run, with the final show set for July 2 in Perth.
With this level of momentum, it looks like Central Cee is well on his way to topping the charts, with little competition standing in his way. However, despite the album’s strong reception, fans couldn’t help but notice one major absence—a potential Drake collaboration.
Why Didn’t Central Cee Include Drake?
Leading up to the album’s release, speculation was rampant that Drake would make an appearance. Given their close relationship—and their viral "On The Radar" freestyle—many assumed a collab was inevitable. However, Cench made the unexpected decision to leave it off.
In a recent interview with FunX, he explained his reasoning:
“I don’t like it when people can guess these kinds of things right away. A lot of people didn’t see it coming that Drake is not on the album.”
He also confirmed that a track with Drake was recorded, but he’s saving it for the right moment. While some fans may be disappointed, it’s clear that Central Cee is playing the long game, keeping his audience on their toes and building anticipation for what’s next.
With a chart-topping album, a global tour, and unreleased heat in the vault, 2024 is shaping up to be Central Cee’s biggest year yet.
