Chloe Bailey recently opened up about the challenges of performing live, revealing that financial constraints have been a major factor in why fans haven’t seen her on stage more often. During a recent social media livestream, the singer explained that her record label hasn’t approved the necessary budgets for her shows.
“Trust me, I would be performing if I could,” Bailey told fans. “The thing is that money goes into the performances. So, it’s not free to do performances, and you have to get budgets approved and things like that. If I could, I'd be performing everywhere.”
The response from fans was immediate, with many expressing frustration and disappointment. Some called on Beyoncé to step in, as Chloe is signed to her label, Parkwood Entertainment. Others pointed fingers at Columbia Records, which handles distribution for Chloe’s music.
“She is signed to Parkwood Entertainment, which is Beyoncé’s label, and signed to Columbia for distribution. So yes, it’s actually Beyoncé who gets the blame for those confused,” wrote one user in the comments section of The Neighborhood Talk's post discussing the situation.
Another fan expressed frustration with the situation, saying, “Beyoncé gotta let that bitterness go, you’re already solidified. Let another R&B girl get their shine.” Some fans also suggested that low album sales might be a contributing factor, with one user commenting, “Y’all don’t buy her music! Period. She’s performed everywhere. Can’t keep investing in her performances when no one is buying the music. Now hurry up and buy.”
Chloe was quick to defend her work ethic, emphasizing that her lack of live shows is not due to a lack of desire to perform. “It has nothing to do with me not wanting to perform,” she clarified during the livestream.
As the conversation continues online, fans are hopeful that Chloe will get the support she needs to bring her dynamic performances back to the stage. Until then, they’re rallying behind the talented artist, urging others to support her music and help turn the tide in her favor.
