50 Cent has been flaunting his wealth lately, most notably when he brought $3.5 million in cash to a recent photo shoot. But beyond that, the rapper and entrepreneur has made a bold prediction about his future finances, claiming he’ll reach billionaire status within a few years.
“I’ll break that number…over the next five years, trust that,” 50 said during an interview with Enthusiast Report Magazine’s CEO and Publisher, Lincoln Salazar, on The Enthusiast Podcast, which aired last Thursday (September 26). However, for 50 Cent, the bigger focus isn’t just hitting the billionaire mark — it’s what happens afterward.
“I already have everything that I want,” he explained. “The point is… once you achieve that, the real task becomes: how much you can help others.”
In the meantime, 50 continues making waves with his business ventures. He recently hinted at a new project, possibly a follow-up to his docuseries on Diddy, this time centered on embattled New York City Mayor Eric Adams.
Taking to Instagram, 50 shared a video of Adams presenting Diddy with the key to NYC last year — an honor that was later rescinded following Diddy’s sexual assault allegations. Along with the video, 50 questioned whether there was more to uncover. “This is getting crazy! Should I do a docuseries on Eric Adams? 🤷♂️ I need to know what’s really going on here,” he wrote.
50 Cent’s post came after Adams was charged with five criminal counts related to allegations that he accepted over $10 million in illegal campaign contributions, primarily from Turkish business and government officials. The charges, which include wire fraud, conspiracy, solicitation of foreign contributions, and bribery, could result in significant prison time if Adams is convicted.
Adams is the first sitting mayor of New York City to face criminal charges. 50 Cent initially reacted to the news by posting a photo of the mayor on Instagram with the caption: “Oh shit 😲 what did you do, Eric? I’ve never seen an active mayor of NY get indicted.”
The rapper has been critical of Adams in the past, particularly regarding a proposed policy to give prepaid debit cards to migrants.
