MUSTARD Talks To Apple Music About Always Wanting The LA Sound To Be Represented In His Music...
I think my method with that is always staying true to myself, and that's just the music I like because I'm from here, born and raised. From the Bay to LA, it's just like, that's our music. That's what we like. And I think when I go get somebody like Travis Scott, everything that I do on my album is intentional and it's always to bring awareness to our sound. So it's like, that's an LA sound that Travis is rapping on. And I'm from here, and we collabed those two things and it's like you get that feeling. It's like, you feel like you're in LA, even though he's from Houston. You know what I'm saying? Same with any song that I ever do, it's like, I'm not trying to be over-trapped. I'm trying to be myself and trying to do what's best and what's going to push this sound forward for our artists that's already here .
