Notre Dame football lands commitment from 2018 3-star RB Jahmir Smith

(Chicago Tribune)
Notre Dame added its second running back from the Class of 2018 on Sunday when Jahmir Smith announced he had chosen to play for the Irish.
Smith tweeted his decision in the afternoon, with a highlight video embedded beneath his message: “I gave my blood … sweat … tears … I’m Committed! #IrishBouND18 … #WeAreND.”

Smith, a three-star prospect who ran for 2,130 yards and 40 touchdowns and had seven receiving scores for Lee County High in Sanford, N.C. last season, joins four-star recruit Markese Stepp as backfield pledges.
Smith, 6-feet, 195 pounds, is rated as the 24th best running back in the country and 23rdbest player in North Carolina, according to 247sports.com.
He chose the Irish over offers from North Carolina, North Carolina State and Northwestern among others.
Smith is the Irish’s 13th commitment from the Class of 2018.
