(Bleacher Report)
Caleb Tannor, a 4-star defensive end from Miller Grove High School in Lithonia, Georgia, committed to Georgia on Monday, per Jeff
Sentell of DawgNation.com.
The 6'3" and 200-pound Tannor is considered one of the top defensive ends in the country, and his skill set translated to an impressive 54 tackles (10.5 for loss), seven sacks, two safeties and a fumble recovery for a score during his junior season, per Kipp Adams of 247Sports.com.
The ability to pressure quarterbacks and collapse pockets never goes out of style, making Tannor an excellent addition for Georgia. While he absolutely needs to add bulk and some more technique at the next level, his upside as a difference-maker off the edge makes him a potential starter for Georgia in the coming years.
Indeed, Tannor is a big get for the Bulldogs, bolstering the team's No. 34-ranked recruiting class, per Scout.com. And he'll upgrade the defensive side of that recruiting class, joining 4-star cornerback Christopher Smith.
The Bulldogs had already hit offense hard in this recruiting cycle, landing 5-star running back Zamir White. Tannor's addition will be a much-needed improvement to the defensive side.
