Hip Hop News: Drake "Nothing was the same" on track to do major numbers

Drake nothing was the same

Started from the bottom, now he's here. Drake is set to make a huge debut on next week’s charts with his third album Nothing Was the Same.

The album features the singles “Started From the Bottom” and “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” is headed straight for No. 1 on next week’s Billboard 200. After a day in stores, it is predicted to move an amazing 675-725,000 copies in its first week alone, according to HITS Daily Double.

This would be his third No. 1 album, besting the sales of his 2011 sophomore set Take Care, which moved 631,000 units in its opening week. His 2010 debut Thank Me Later posted first-week sales of 447,000.

NWTS has received glowing reviews from critics and fans alike. In an interview with Angie Martinez, Drake declared it “the best album of the year.”
