Michigan State lands Pittsburgh receiver

Michigan State added another player to their 2018 recruiting class with the verbal commitment from Julian Wright.
The Pittsburgh wide receiver is heading into his senior year at Penn Hills as a three-star recruit according to Rivals and 247. Wright made the official announcement Saturday on his Twitter account.

The tweet features a picture of text from Major that reads:
First I would like to thank God for Blessing me with my dream since a Kid. Been Dedicating this Game to my Dad all my life..Rest in Paradise Dad Mom is taken care of. Thank you to my mom for allowing these opportunities to open for me. Also I appreciate all the colleges who recruited me it’s been a long and fun journey that I’ve truly enjoyed. With that being said I will be committing to Michigan State University.
Major is listed at 6-foot-1 or 6-foot-2 according to 247 and Rivals, respectively. He had previously listed MSU as one of his five finalists. A list which also included Wisconsin, Virginia, Kentucky and Iowa State. He had also received an offer from Arkansas.
The Pittsburgh product is the second receiver in the 2018 class and the 15th overall. He joined fellow out-of-state prospect Chase Kline as the second Spartans commitment in one week.
In his senior season, Major had 31 catches for 433 yards and 7 touchdowns. Major was the No. 100 receiver in the nation and No. 18 overall in the state of Pennsylvania. Michigan State’s recruiting class ranks 34th in the nation but only 9th in the Big Ten.
